JoAnne Craig

The 2017-18 school year will mark Mrs. Craig’s twelfth year with NSAA.   This year she will teach APUSH/Honors U.S. History as well as work as the Rio Salado instructor for Dual Enrollment Government.  In addition to teaching, she serves as the NSAA Director of Faculty and Instruction. Mrs. Craig received her J.D. degree from Wayne State University Law School and a secondary education post-baccalaureate teacher certification from Arizona State University. She graduated in December 2016 with a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Arizona State University.

In her pre-teacher life, she worked as a lawyer in Chicago and as a legal intern for the House of Representatives in Washington D.C., but says she is happiest in the classroom and working as a school leader. As a teacher, she enjoys having students work in collaborative teams and incorporates performance and project-based learning activities into her course content. She is the faculty advisor for Junior States Of America (JSA). Mrs. Craig has three adult children and three adorable dogs.
